We accept returns on most stock items within 30 days of purchase if they are in the original, unaltered packaging.
Returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%, depending on the item.
Items that were charged shipping or shipped for free will be refunded the price of the item, minus the shipping costs. The customer must contact us within 30 days of the invoice date to initiate the return process. An RMA will be issues via email detailing the return value once shipping costs are deducted. The item must be received by us at the store within 10 days once the return is approved. Items will be inspected and must be in original condition prior to issuing refund.
Special order items are not returnable- while we can help you determine the correct item/size you need, it is ultimately the responsibility of the customer to verify that the items we have listed on the final invoice are correct. We require payment and written approval on all special orders prior to ordering so please review quantities and measurements carefully.
Stock items modified/customized by us at the store at the request of the customer are treated as special orders and are not returnable. This includes services such as drilling interior door slabs for handles, or cutting windows into the metal framed outswing doors.
Electrical items such as furnaces and furnace parts, bath fans and fan motors, are not returnable. Significant damage can be done to these items if installed incorrectly. We have no way to verify this therefore there are no exceptions.
Water heaters are not returnable. Significant damage can be done to these items if installed incorrectly. We have no way to verify this therefore there are no exceptions.
Larger items shipped LTL freight are non-returnable as it is cost-prohibitive to send crated/palleted items back and forth. As stated before, it is essential that the customer is confident that they provided us with the correct measurements and to verify that the items listed on the invoice are correct. The only exception to this would be product damaged by the shipper. Please see shipping policies for more detail.
In the unlikely event that the item you purchased is defective, we will refer you to the manufacturer to submit a warranty claim. Please note, warranties on certain items like furnaces are void if not installed by a licensed professional.
All special order items are non-cancellable once we have received payment and approval from the customer. Online and phone orders are non-returnable once we have started processing the orders.
Shipping is at the expense of the owner, unless otherwise noted.
Smaller items will be shipped parcel through USPS, FedEx, or UPS, depending on who offers the best rate/reasonable shipping speed at that time. Receipt signature will not be required unless requested by the customer. If a package is undeliverable and returned to sender, the item can be re-sent if desired at the buyers expense. Otherwise, a refund will be issued minus any shipping charges (products shipped for free will also be refunded minus shipping charges).
Larger items like tubs and surrounds, doors, etc. are too large to be considered parcel and must be sent LTL freight. Carriers often require signature for delivery of palleted/crated items so expect to be present. All shipping times are estimates, we cannot guarantee delivery dates.
Parcel items can take as little as 24 hours to be delivered, LTL Freight is usually 5 to 10 days, depending on delivery address and carrier used. We are provided an estimated delivery date when we schedule, but it is not a guarantee.
If you are within our delivery area (Kitsap County), we also offer delivery by our staff for a fee. For large items, this tends to be significantly less than LTL freight. Deliveries would happen during business hours, and while we would like you to be present to receive the delivery, it is not required. We do not permit our drivers to enter customer houses so if you need assistance getting the product inside, it would be best to arrange that prior to delivery. If you will not be home to accept the delivery, please instruct us to a spot preferably out of the weather and out of sight from the road for us to leave it. We are not responsible for the safety or condition of items after delivery.
We can’t control how our product is handled once it is picked up by the carrier so we take great care to ensure it is packaged securely. Heavy or bulky items are often required to be crated/palleted to prevent damage. Many freight companies do not provide shipping insurance on products with glass (windows/doors with windows) therefore it would be at the customer’s risk if they wish for us to still send freight. If glass product arrives damaged, we would not be able to submit a claim with the carrier therefore we would not be issuing a refund.
Refusing/Accepting Damaged Deliveries: Please examine all packages upon receipt. If there is visible damage, please make sure to document with person delivering or refuse delivery, depending on the severity. If no signature is required and the package is left at the customer’s residence, inspect for damage and if damaged, take pictures prior to opening. If the product is damaged, take pictures and contact us as soon as possible. Claims must be made within 3 days of delivery and we will need pictures to submit to the carrier. We can arrange for return shipping of small items but are unable to issue a refund or mail the replacement product until we receive the damaged product back. If you wait to contact us for damaged product, or you are not home within the 3 days of delivery to inspect, then we likely cannot make a claim with the carrier and the item is then non-returnable/non-refundable.
